Restaurante Bar Kennedy - Guatapé

After climbing the ‘Rock’ we continued onto Gautape for lunch. After several enticing menus, we settled on here as there were already both locals and tourists eating. We randomly chose a dish each, as our Spanish isn’t very good and ended up having great meals! Beans and rice are a staple in Colombia, and both our dishes had them tasting amazing! Simple food, made to taste amazing is always a winner. Service isn’t great here, but it’s good enough.

Their agua fresa was excellent and very refreshing. I got streamed trout and it was fresh and had great flavor. It was a welcome change to the heavy piasa food we have had at several restaurants. I highly recommend their trout.

The food here is good, staff is friendly. Prices are good given its a tourist area. Cazuela (sp? de frijoles is good but the fried tilapia is legit.

Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Quality food selections for breakfast and lunch. Variety of local dishes. Good customer service and friendly staff. Pretty good to pass the time near the park and church,
