Cafe Otoya - Guadalupe

I went here only for a drink, but I said very nicely outside and the waiter was very friendly. A lunch would be great here I guess, but I was a bit rushed.

Great little bistro. Nice music. Perfect atmosphere and lovely staff. Very Out of the way near the park. Away from the noise of the city . Somewhere a little more sophisticated and very cool decor. The food was fresh and delicious. The wine was exceptional

The staff was very attentive and friendly. I asked for recommendations and the server said I should try the supreme burger. I took his recommendations and was very happy with the out come. This was the best burger I've had in quite sometime! He also recommended a cake that was very delicious. I'm sad that I only found this restaurant on my last day. If I found it earlier this may have been the only place I ate while in San Jose.

Really nice place to enjoy an afternoon tea...the cakes are great, a bit on the sweet side though. Come early since many of the choices do run out during the day. We visited 4 times and every time the cheesecake and chocolate cake were sold out. Little request to the management; how about producing more of your best seller cakes?

The prices are not too high. The place has a lovely decoration and the menu is full of nice options. However, the staff is slow and don't understand english. And the ingredients can be not the one indicated on the menu which can be desappointing.
