Izakaya Raku - Grover Beach

The dining experience at this restaurant is consistently exceptional and incredibly delicious. The waiter is very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating, always polite and remembers regular customers. The atmosphere is inviting and peaceful. I cannot praise this restaurant enough!

We placed an online order through their website, but shortly after, we received an email saying our order had been cancelled. Despite this, our card was still charged and it took nearly a week to receive a refund. We tried calling multiple times but they never answered the phone.

The sushi was OK and the service was timely but overall experience was lacking, spilled a drink bc the lid was not attached correctly and they charged me for another. Most places would have replaced it for free.

Small, intimate restaurant manages by the owner. Selection was good, dish was fresh and probably purchases for each day as several items were unavailable later in the day

Tried their ramen and udon. Both were generous portions, full of flavor, and served. With nice selection of vegetables and protein in them. The pork cutlet in the ramen was large, crispy and very flavorful. We will definitely try other items on their menu on another visit.
