Bidrage med feedbackWe wanted to have a quick lunch as we were traveling and they suggest this restaurant 22 of December for lunch. The personal were nice friendly , and we explained that we are traveling we don’t want starters. They didn’t asked and they brought 3 mini portion of shrimp even for my small kid that she didn’t eat, after that another mini portion and they said just to try the speciality of the house. Half portion of pasta with tomato 2 portion of San Pietro fish with artichoke witch they came with another vegetable). I wanted another fish and they said they only have this but they didn’t mention even the vegetables. They only had 2 other table and you wonder how come they didn’t have things, up to here is ok. The problem was the bill !!!! Incredibly high for what they offered you much more than 100€ we had only a glass of wine),the made me pay also the mini portion of appetizers witch they brought me without asking.Half portion of Pasta 9 € each fish per plate 32€.I would not recommend as you will be surprised at the end and it doesn’t recompense they nicely welcomed attitude at beginning, you will feel they were nice only to push you have things to make the bills higher at the end.
Warm welcome detailed info about the menu Prices rather high Food was good but not exeptional Surprise with the bill: the vegtables which were a part of the meal (and not ordered separately), where calculated as a supplement #FAIL! Conclusion: not bad, but too expensive, much too expensive
My partner a professional cook and I ate here in the autumn fall... of 2003, and I have no idea if it is still the same gang in charge, but we still talk about the two meals we had here. The first time we went on spec, from a recommendation in a guidebook, and we had the special mixed seafood starter, which was a series of individual seafood delights that came out one after the other, among which the stuffed courgette flower was the particular star. We enjoyed it so much we changed our plans and booked to come at the end of the week to have the -then house special, their particular take on a seafood stew that could only be ordered in advance , a Marche speciality. Just divine. We sometimes talk about taking a Ryaniar flight to Ancona just to go here for another meal but they say 'you can never go back '.... having seen these favourable reviews, though. maybe... just maybe it would be worth the risk....
We were guests of some friends from Pesaro to this wonderful restaurant that served the traditional dish call Brodetto. It was so flavorful and abundant. We were also served their own home-made twisted Italian bread along with some fried assorted fish. The service was great. The owners are a husband and wife team and their son, cooks, along with his mother. I strongly recommend. it.
The Lacchè family the name of the restaurant comes from the family name has been dealing with restauration during the last five decades. In the early sixties they began with the first Trattoria in the higher part of Grottammare . Mamma was since the beginning the unrivalled leader of the cooking brigade. They are deeply rooted in the local seafood tradition, mixing with expertise the flavours of the sea with the inflences of the countryside. Try the Pasta e fagioli con frutti di mare as well as all the wide selction of appetizers , ranging from fresh uncooked fish to mussels and clams, scampi and the marine version of olive alla ascolana As you may know Ascoli Piceno has a world reputation for the special olive alla ascolana : these are green olives, carved and stuffed with beef, pork and chicken finely chopped, the the olives are plunged in uncooked scrambled eggs and breadcrumbs.. and finally deep fried. On the adriatc coast of Ascoli province there is the marine version : olives stuffed with fish. All the types of seafood pasta are at a high level, the fish main courses vary according to seasonal offer. One of the young gentlemen of the Lacchè brigade, a qualified Sommelier, will offer you the opportunity to choose the right bottle, within a rich wine list. You will spend summer 2011 around 50 € after a real imperial seafood dinner.
