Mr. Mofongo - Groningen

We were in many bars in Groningen, but this was the best. Fortunately, they started a new cocktail menu today. We tried 5 different cocktails and all were super different, but all great. It is amazing how they can be so different and so good at the same time. You have super affordable pommes that could help not get drunk super fast. The staff is very, very friendly. One of the best and most delicious restaurants I've ever visited. I went to Groningen on vacation and decided to check Mr.Mofongo on my first day and I have dinner there every day. Each dish is perfect and every cocktail is an experience. A strong recommendation.

Wide variety and availability of wine bottles. 3 different Château Musar Grand Cru 's, one of my favorite wine house 's. The pizza served in the wine bar is delicious and has a good value for money. A restaurant that always meets your needs.

Absolutely excellent service from the moment when I book for eight people until the moment we went. Had a really nice time with some wonderful cocktails, and I love the aesthetics of the place. A very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, with wonderful cocktails for a fair price. Would definitely recommend coming here for some drinks and checking the wine bar upstairs. The atmosphere was so beautiful in the place that I almost forgot that my ex was also present, which really says something. I recommend the Marc of Passion Cocktail, which is seen on the attached photo. I'll be back! In summary, I would definitely recommend this place for cocktails and a nice time.

During our honeymoon we stayed for one night in the city center of Groningen. During our stay we visited Mr. Mofongo. We heard from Mr. Mofongo because of the dad which visit Groningen often. He told me we should visit Mr. Mofongo because of the cocktail bar. We found out that our hotel was just 100 meter away from Mr. Mofongo. We stayed at Corps de Garde Groningen. When you walk into it look very cozy with many details referring to traveling. The tables has a glass plate with items all over the world like coins, insects (not alive) and passports. The menu is made like a passport. The dishes are very reasonably priced. The menu has a dish for everyone. I self ordered the chicken with lemon and my wife took the spare ribs. Before this we ordered the tapas plate. During our dinner we already tried some cocktails before we went to the cocktail bar. The ground floor and the outside terrace is for dinner and a drink. The cocktail bar is on the second floor. You can take your dinner bill upstairs. The waiter will give a voucher which looks like a plane ticket. When you take it up the waiters upstairs will scan the voucher and you can take a seat. The cocktail bar looks amazing. It has a robot arm which will take the ingredients for the bartender. The bartenders are very skilled and also funny. The cocktails are reasonably priced and when your favorite is not on the menu you can still ask for it and they will make it for you.
