Diner-cafe Soestdijk - Groningen

Incredibly beautiful place! I came to Groningen to visit my Dutch cousin Roel. He said I had to see “The Soul” and the human being was right. This diner café serves extremely tasty dishes and poor you delicious, fresh, cold “Tall Jan” beers. Believe me, if I say you have to visit this place. You won't regret it.

My favorite beacon in Groningen. A wide selection of Dutch craft beers on Hahn. And the bartender usually offers a great conversation.

Always wanted to go there because it's always packed with people but was disappointed with my experience. Menu isn't great and also over priced for what we got. Maybe it was an off day but the staff weren't friendly nor very helpful. Nice place to grab a beer but I definitely wouldn't order their broodje bitterballen again.

8,40 Euro for two alkoholfree Beer. And it was not a liter. Not even half a liter. That is to much.

Didn’t like it. First time I ordered hot chocolate and they served it to the table next to me telling me unfortunately it was the last. Second time I went, ordered sandwich, supposed to have sauce in but it was all over the plate but not in the sandwich, used as a decoration. Don’t want to comment raw worst, maybe some people like it like this, but it is recommended to have something lighter for brunch instead of raw meat and bitterballen broodjes. On top of everything it was extremely sandy and windy so all the sand went to my food or in my eyes.
