Bidrage med feedbackHappy enough to enjoy great food here in the baking sunshine with wonderful views! Then another day you will experience it as a cozy shelter in a blizzard! Great for lunch on the mountain, whatever the weather!
There is nothing quite similar sitting at the foot of the mighty Eiger North Wall. We have often stayed here through various changes in ownership. The current owners have updated the place, but the traditions remain. The bedrooms are very small, but very much from Heidi. The restaurant serves good, traditional mountain food, the beer is good and the service is good. What else do you want? You can observe how the cows come to milk next door on the farm; see the fires under the milk boilers illuminated on the cheese producers. These are the real Alps and if you feel energetic, you can run the Eiger Trail.
If you have walked the way over the foot of the Eiger, which takes about two hours, it is pleasant to come to Alpiglen and eat in the mountain house for lunch. From here it is only five minutes walk to the station where you can take a train to Kleiner Scheidegg or to Grindelwald.

When one has walked the path across the foot of the Eiger, which takes about two hours, it is pleasant to arrive in Alpiglen and have lunch at the Berghaus. From here it is only five minutes walk to the train station, where one can catch a train to Kleiner Scheidegg or down to Grindelwald
