Goldenes Schiff - Grimma

Booked an overnight stay with breakfast. The room was large and clean, the furniture was a bit worn, but ok. The staff was very friendly. Price-performance including breakfast fits so far. The location between the train station and the center was also very practical for me. What I found extremely unpleasant: The attached Greek restaurant, including the kitchen, seems to be very poorly ventilated. Or the grease trap in the extractor hood is full... There is an extremely smelly smell of old grease throughout the house and also in the room (with 2 windows permanently tilted). That was a shame for me and I was glad I only booked one night. Since we've never stayed here, I can't say anything about the rooms. But the food is excellent. It tastes better every time and believes I've been here many times and know the menu. I must have tried every dish and the waiters will have the greatest effort. Kind of funny and charming. As far as possible, almost every wish is fulfilled. So you love, try it out. You won't care. Welcome back to the GDR. The furnishings in the rooms are really very old and outdated. Cleanliness was ok, noise level was quite high. Overall, I wouldn't want to stay there again. Rooms: 1 Service: 2 Location: 3
