Fatz - Greer

Pleasantly surprised! I was hesitant reading other reviews, especially with a large group of 13, but for a Friday night we were seated right away, that alone was nice. Have never been here as we are visiting from out of town so hearing we are getting to try new menu items was interesting. I am the picky eater of the group and was eyeing the bbq pulled pork sandwich, I have ordered this a few times from other restaurants and was disappointed with the meat received. I noticed they had food setup as if to photograph for the menu so I walked over and asked to see the bbq sandwich, the gentleman explained it was his recipe and was very eager that I was excited to see it was what I was looking for. A few moments later the same man came by the table and brought a sample of the meat which was very kind and I absolutely loved it. Sandwich was the best I have had in a long time so will 100% be back when we visit SC again. Restaurant was clean, staff friendly and attentive.

The only thing good about Fatz was our waitress. She was friendly and attentive and did a good job. When you walk in the door it smells and the carpet is stained and filthy. Booths are torn up and the whole place is is disrepair. We should have listened to the doubts that we had in out head, but we were hungry and it was right next to the place we were shopping. Both of us got meals with gravy on it. Huge mistake. My wife go what they call mushroom gravy with her roast beef. The beef was dry and the mushroom gravy was from a packet and it was full of canned mushroom. It was a consistency that neither of us had ever seen it was almost clear with a hint of brown. Something to definitely stay away from it. None of the sides resembled any version od sides that I have ever seen. I had the chicken fried chicken. The one thing that was cooked well was the chicken. Bu unfortunately it had white Gravy on it. It was horrible. Both of us got sick when we got home. If they cant keep the front clean imagine what the kitchen looks like? Just stay away if you don 't like food that tastes horrible and getting sick.

The food was terrible. What I was able to eat made me, and my friend, sick. She had to send her entrée back. The cheese on the wrap I had was almost cold and tasted like cheap cheese. Our waitress was very friendly and did her best. Unfortunately she was dealing with the D crew in the kitchen. I can see why several locations are no longer in business if they're like this one. This place also needs a serious remodel. It looks dated.

When we come here we either have cold food or bad service and sometimes both. Today we went and they didn't have a hostess. Which is fine but when you wait 10 min for someone to even acknowledge you are waiting, that isn't good. Others that were there and said they have been waiting even longer. 8 people walked out because of this.

Went here for a birthday dinner with my family to celebrate my daughter's birthday and first off the waitress was very rude and no personality at all never came back to check if we needed anything she definitely needed to get better training. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant (a handful)and after we ordered our food it took 45 minutes to get our plates and then the food was over cooked and one plate of Calabash chicken breast was served burnt. The ambiance was nonexistent and I would have expected the staff would have at least came out and acknowledged the birthday. Had to go to the hostess to get a manager and he did take a little off my bill (not enough in my opinion) I have never been to a Fatz restaurant before and received this type of service and food. I would give negative stars if I could have. DO NOT waste your hard earned money at this establishment. It is not the Fatz of the past.
