Starbucks - Greenville

I stopped by to grab a cold brew, but the cashier told me they only serve hot drip coffee. She was somewhat rude and didn’t explain why they only had hot options. There were signs all over advertising cold brew, but it turns out they don’t really have it available.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the breakfast.

The majority of the staff are quite friendly, although some may occasionally overlook you completely. Overall, my drinks are usually on point, and the restaurant is consistently clean and well-organized.

On Tuesday morning, the team was clearly overwhelmed and short-staffed. Unfortunately, they accidentally added an espresso shot to my green tea, which completely ruined the drink. I didn't realize the mistake until I was already on the road, leaving me no opportunity to address the issue. To make matters worse, they wouldn’t answer the phone. I don’t blame the staff who took my order or the barista who didn’t check my cup (which wasn’t marked for any shots); my frustration is directed at management. I seriously doubt that they are providing a living wage for the barista, and it’s evident that the store was insufficiently staffed for a Tuesday at 9 AM. The line was long, and there was a lack of enforcement for social distancing, particularly concerning as it's a hospital setting. This reflects serious management shortcomings on multiple levels, in my opinion. I plan to call later when it's less busy, hoping that management will be available (it seems impossible for them to adequately cover the morning shift while being short-staffed). By the way, whatever happened to the barista taking your order also making your drinks? Isn't that how Starbucks used to run? When did that change?

I typically order the Caramel Apple Spice, but this time I tried a regular coffee. The blonde roast with almond milk is absolutely perfect—it's like heaven in a cup! I also love the whole grain oatmeal topped with nuts, berries, and brown sugar. If I could, I would eat it every morning!
