Oak Honey - Greenville

We had a nice dinner before we went to the peace centre. we had symphony cards. we ordered shareables and a big teller for dinner. we didn't need any delivery containers for the concert! we also had some of their special drinks.

Overall it was okay. we were not super hungry, so we started with the bruise and the frito misto. the fried were very good. the frito misto seemed like a frozen bag just dropped in the frit. not impressed. I usually can't leave a single calamari on the plate, but leave a lot. after the apps we were simply not impressed enough to order a entree. the service was ok. the server was friendly, but also neigent bar, so it was not very attentive. waterglasses often empty, no cocktail serviettes or coasters. for the price I expected more. the mood in the bar area was good and there was great live music.

I have specified that it was our jubilee when I made the reservation, but that was never mentioned by one of the employees. I also tried to call the restaurant to adjust the reservation, but no one has ever replied, so I called the reception of the hotel to make the change. the food tasted good, but is overpriced compared to other good restaurants in greenville and the selection is limited.

Loved the experience. We strolled through their gingerbread display, had dinner, which was great. The bar manager was terrific, cocktails were great. We had brussel sprouts and the Cauliflower steak—both were delicious. Then we voted on our favorite gingerbread display, grabbed a cup of hot chocolate and strolled Main Street. A lovely evening

Food was good (not outstanding, but solid). Service was a mixed bag although we had a reservation, no host was present and there was no other way to check in. This went on for about five minutes, wandering around looking for someone to help. And the place was less than half full, with maybe four other tables dining (the rest were having drinks). Not a great start! Eventually a server took mercy on us and got us a table. He was very good attentive but not overbearing. The room is lovely for a hotel space. Well lit, nice furnishings.
