Blockhouse Restaurant And Oyster Bar

I?m here at least 3 nights a week for dinner. The food is incredible and it has such a friendly neighborhood feel. The thing I enjoy most is the friendliness of the staff and particularly from Britt behind the bar. Always giving a heads up on what?s specifically on point for the evening. Could not recommend more.

I ordered the raw oysters here and they were amazing! Also, the **** Mary was just how Iiked it. I tried some of my friends' food, and everything I tasted was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. I highly enjoyed my dining experience here and would recommend it to anyone who loves oysters or just a great restaurant with a variety of dishes.

I had Joe's spud (a huge loaded baked potato) and, my date had a simple chicken salad sandwich. His sandwich was not tasty, he only ate half. Mine was good, I had to bring it home because I couldn't finish eating it. Our server really didn't pay us much attention. He didn't ask about refilling our drinks until we were almost done. Overall, the place was nice, it wasn't loud or, overcrowded.

It reminds you immediately of the Cheers bar, where everyone knows your name a local gem in my opinion. Beautiful deck on the back. Food was great. Drinks hit the right spot. They have daily specials.

Great spot for pub style seafood and steak. Oyster Poboy was very good with sauce on the side. Service is laid back which, depending on your preference, could be a good thing. Menu is fairly pricey but generally warranted by the quality of the food.
