Bidrage med feedbackI had hoped that this place would be a vegan-friendly option in Greensboro, but I was disappointed. They use sour cream in their guacamole, which means that even the "Tree Hugger" burrito isn't vegan. After reading other reviews, I expected at least some rice options, but they don't even have that for vegans. The staff also seemed uninformed about what options were available to me.
The use of meat stock in the bouillon and rice severely limits the options here. There’s nothing vegan available, aside from standard salad and vinaigrette. The staff seemed uninformed, and the information I received only came from the management.
After navigating the typical fast-food ordering process (order at the counter and wait for your food to be brought to you), I found this place to be quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is lively, the food is tasty, and the staff is friendly—all complemented by strong Margaritas. It's a cozy spot with limited seating, and the 90s music playing in the background was perfectly balanced, not overwhelming at all. We even got to watch a thunderstorm roll in through the open windows. I ordered a burrito that, while not as large as the Alberto burritos from the West Coast, was still very delicious. If I could do it again, I would skip the refried beans.
The service was quick, and the food was tasty. Although the steak portion in my Fat Boy wasn’t as generous as I’ve experienced at other Taco Mama locations, I still highly recommend it as a must-visit spot.
The tacos were delicious, and the margaritas were fantastic! They have a great half-price margarita special on Tuesdays, which is absolutely worth it! I will definitely be returning!
