Bidrage med feedbackI am repeatedly disappointed with this restaurant every time I visit. It appears that most of the staff are disinterested and unhappy to be working there—I've observed this about 80% of the time. I've also seen staff members being unreasonably unhelpful. For instance, when a student asked to add chips and salsa, they were told to go to the back of the line. On another occasion, a staff member seemed annoyed by a simple question from someone in line. Furthermore, despite charging full price for their items, they rarely offer extra portions. If you don’t want rice or beans, you’d better count on luck when asking for extra lettuce or anything else. You’ll need to ask, but depending on who’s serving, you might receive a sarcastic response.
This Salsarita's location does not accurately reflect its hours on Google, which state that it is open until 8 PM on most days. One day, I checked their hours, drove over from the gym, and parked in the Walker Ave. deck, only to find that they had closed by 7 PM. I felt extremely frustrated for wasting my time trying to grab dinner after my workout. Furthermore, about two-thirds of the time, the staff here are dismissive and rude, which makes me concerned they might even spit in my food. I've been in a five-year graduate program, and during the four years I've been visiting this location, nothing has improved.
The food at this restaurant is somewhat dry, which is disappointing given that "salsa" is in its name. It seems like a missed opportunity to truly represent authentic Mexican cuisine. On a brighter side, the wait times are quite short, making it a decent choice if you're in need of a quick meal.
I would give this place zero stars if possible. The staff members were unbelievably rude—every single one of them! It was my first time ordering, and it will definitely be my last. I don’t want to overdo the comparisons, but here’s the situation: I ordered a large chicken bowl that was smaller than my fist. It cost $7.78 and was gone in just three minutes. In comparison, a chicken bowl from Chipotle is at least twice the size, costs $7.47, and lasts me two days.
I really love the queso and chips at this place. The staff is friendly, and I'm a huge fan of the steak nachos—they're incredibly tasty!
