Duck Donuts The Village North Elm

These donuts are served warm and made to order. I prefer the Maple Bacon taste (imagined). You have to wait a few minutes because they are made to order. They have special flavors for different seasons and holidays. At the time of this review, pumpkin roll is one of the seasonal flavors. They had a vegan on the last Friday of each month, but not sure if everyone else does. Not gluten-free. Not vegan. Excellent donuts!

The reviews are great, highlighting the freshness and variety, but I found that all the donuts taste very similar. While they are tasty, I feel like I could just buy one, as the other eleven are just variations of the first. The dough flavor lingers in the background after trying the others.

Really everything I can say is phenomenal. Boardwalk was the best by far. Unfortunately, I live so far from one.

I was craving donuts today in Greensboro, and while I usually think of Krispy Kreme – especially when their Hot Now sign is on – today I decided to try Duck Donuts instead. Let me tell you, the presentation was impressive and they really hit it out of the park. If you have to ask if you should try them, it’s clear you’ve never had authentic donuts, because these are simply delicious. The staff was friendly and the shop was clean. I placed my order in-store and waited about 5 to 7 minutes for my made-to-order treat. I experienced exceptional customer service throughout my visit, so when your donut cravings strike during business hours, give Duck Donuts a shot!

This was a neat experience. I have never seen a donut shop make you a fresh donut of your choice right in front of you. Call me crazy, but I thought this place was dope! You order from the menu, and they take fresh plain cake donut and literally create whatever you order right in front of your eyes. It was awesome! I ordered the beach ball donut and the cookies and cream donut. They were both great! I thoroughly enjoyed both of them. I took them to go and enjoyed them later that evening with some whiskey. It was a match made in heaven! I also ordered a frozen espresso drink with some extra shots. It was perfect. Not crazy sweet or weak. The barista was very kind to ask me if I wanted whipped cream instead of just adding unnecessary sugar. I would make it a point to stop of this place again next time I am in Greensboro, North Carolina. The donuts traveled really well when I drove to Charlotte, North Carolina. This place is on par or even better than Krispy Kreme. I highly recommend this place, and I stopped here by pure chance for coffee.
