Secret Garden - Greens Harbour

If you are looking for a scenic and romantic getaway, look no further than the Doctor’s House Inn Spa. I took a trip here with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful experience. The property is located in a quiet alcove in Green’s Harbour. There is a place down the road called Jiggs Reels that is great for a quick lunch or dinner if you don’t feel like eating on site. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, clean and simple. You’ll find a coffee maker, mini fridge, and a large and comfortable bed inside. Everything down to the choice of lighting is eloquent and well done. Their on site restaurant is amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the dinners are fresh, flavourful and enjoyable. If you get a package offer, you can get a dining credit for the food. The wait staff are all incredibly kind and friendly. They want to make your experience a good one. I’d highly recommend the Doctor’s house for a getaway.

Overall a good experience with a few minor complaints. The positives: the food is remarkable the staff are very nice and polite the property is beautiful The negatives: our room had a teeny tiny garbage pail that filled up within an hour or two of us being there the lock on the door to our room was sticky/stiff and hard to lock/unlock Overall, our stay there was a positive experience. I do think the bungalow rooms (where we stayed) could be improved with a more rustic decor the existing decor is a little vanilla and wasn't as warm and inviting as I hoped it would be but this is just a small criticism that won't prevent me from returning in the future.

I had a delightful stay in the Lavender suite, which was beautifully furnished and had everything I needed. The customer service was exceptional; the staff were attentive and caring, especially the lady who served breakfast at the Secret Garden Restaurant. The woman who served dinner was also fantastic. They called me a couple of times before my arrival to confirm my reservation, check-in time, and dinner arrangements, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. The instructions for arrival and check-in were clear and detailed. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was outstanding—no complaints at all. I noticed that other guests were enjoying their meals just as much as I was. The views were breathtaking, and there were lovely hiking trails that led closer to the ocean. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I would definitely return!

I stayed in the Queen bedroom on the upper floor of the guest house. After exploring the other buildings and rooms, I'm convinced we got the best one in terms of view and accessibility (as long as you're okay with stairs, but there was a private staircase leading to the hot tub and deck, which was a nice touch). The only downside was there were quite a few cobwebs overhead. Other than that, we were very happy! The staff was friendly, and the grounds are beautiful. I enjoyed all the food that was prepared, and the portion sizes were fantastic.

I reserved a spa day for my 30th birthday, and the staff treated me like I was the only guest, making me feel incredibly special. It was a lovely and soothing experience. I can't wait to return for another spa day, and this time, I'll book a room as well!
