Fenwick 47 - Greenock

The restaurant greeted us warmly with a quiet and friendly atmosphere. Every course was delicious and the staff was efficient and great.

I decided to visit this restaurant with an open mind, despite reading some negative reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lovely, very warm and welcoming with a nice table and great service. Even though our server mentioned that she was new, her service was excellent - very attentive and helpful. The food was fresh and hot, and although the fish was cod (not my favorite), it was very succulent with crispy batter. The only suggestion for improvement would be to use thinner bread for my daughter's sandwich. Overall, it was a great experience and we definitely plan on returning.

The place has went down hill and changed there menu to a poor selection.

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the positive reviews I had heard, but I don't think I will be returning unless there are major changes in the service. The first waiter seemed in a rush, trying to take our food order before even asking about drinks. It was a bit strange considering the restaurant was not busy. When the starters arrived, there was confusion among the staff about which table they were for. The main courses were brought out while we were still eating our starters, and the server didn't even know what dish he was holding. The lack of attention to detail and communication was disappointing. The food was good, but the service really let it down. Staff were not very attentive or polite, as we were not even acknowledged when we left.

After reading a few negative reviews I went with an open mind and I was not disappointed that the place was nice very warm and welcoming nice table and great service, although the girl told us that she was new was her service was very well attentive and helpful eating arrived and it was fresh and hot, although the fish was not my favorite) it was very succulent and batter was crunchy would be the only commentary
