Bidrage med feedbackThis is the perfect place to go if you're reminiscing about HK food and milk tea. I love that they serve the milk tea in Black White Evaporated Milk branded cups. This is probably the closest you can get to authentic HK milk tea in Auckland that I've tried so far.<br/ <br/ The food is simple and, for me, almost homely. Their best fare is really in the noodle and soup domains. The snacks, like fried chicken and dumplings, are nothing special.<br/ <br/ My favourite dishes were undoubtedly the baked rice and spaghetti. If you do choose a meaty rice option, it goes especially well with mushroom sauce. It comes out in a generous portion piping hot and is the ultimate comfort food and satisfying meal.<br/ <br/ They also do soupy macaroni and spam and egg sandwiches for the HK cha chaan teng experience. The best value is to get these in a set.<br/ <br/ Overall, this place is great for HK-nostalgic cheap eats.
One of my family’s favourites! Good for a casual lunch, with nostalgic Hong Kong delights and accommodating staff. Baked Cheese pots and Sizzling Plates are really worth it as well as their Set Menus where you can get toast and milk tea too! Can get quite full so get there early!
Had Hong Kong style milk tea here this morning, it was petty good actually! Probably it’s the best milk tea I have ever had! We also tried Hong Kong wonton noodle soup and beef noodle soup but unfortunately they were not our type.
This cafe was recommended by my boyfriend who is Cantonese as he said it was one of the most authentic HK cafes he's been to in NZ. He got the wonton noodle set and I got their upgraded set with eggs, spam and the fried chicken cutlet. Service was prompt and food came quickly which wad good as we were starving. Their milk tea was very different from the milk tea I was use to- much more tea like rather than sweet which was a nice change. The noodles were very bouncy and the soup was very refreshing although there was too much sesame oil for my liking. Their wontons were good as well although more shrimp would have been nice. My meal was just basic comfort food- it wasn't too oily and filled me up but nothing spectacular. I'm excited to try more of their menu in the future
Braised beef noodle is the best in their menu and their teas are outstanding, love the service, love the food, love the ambience. One of my to go places for quick dinner.
