Fish City Grill - Green Meadows

Don’t wanna to pull the race card but we were seated for almost 10 minutes and never received any service. Just looking around we were the only black people inside. Two white ladies came in and were instantly asked what they wanted to drink by the same lady that seated us. So maybe it was all a coincidence but the server passed by our table numerous times without acknowledging us. The ladies that came in were seated right by us too and they were offered service instantly. So we just got up and left at that point.

I had the Grilled Scallops Oscar, with mashed potatoes and the grilled broccoli. I honestly didn’t think it was special at all, but I have to say that the broccoli was amazing! I normally don’t like any kind of vegetables but this the best lemony flavored broccoli I’ve ever tasted. My husband got the fish and chips, but I have nothing more to add besides the coleslaw being gross. I must say that I’ve only liked coleslaw in one other place so that might be too harsh. Lastly, I tried the bread pudding and absolutely loved it! The pudding is my new favorite dessert and it’s something I can see myself ordering by itself on occasions. Just a heads up, it’s really sweet so I recommend some water or even milk to go with it.

Great food! Great staff! And for first timers they gave us free samples of soups and oyster nachos. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely return.

First time there, I heard it was good when they first arrived to Burleson. But my experience wasn 't tho. They sat us down at a badly uneven table just to move us five minutes later so they could update the specials board. That explains why the table was crooked, the server was standing on it. There was a party right next to us that was receiving their food at all different times because the server told them that there was only one kitchen personnel at the time. I felt bad for them, because it was a birthday party. I had the scallops with bacon wrapped shrimp, spinach and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was dry, bacon burned, scallops over cooked. My kid had ordered fried shrimp with steamed broccoli, the broccoli wasn 't cooked all the way thru and looked unwashed. I feel like the management staff should have let that party and other guests know up front what they should expect before hand. I would 've respected that much more. I hope corporate or the owners can step in and help out this location.

This is our favorite place in Burleson. Brilliantly prepared seafood, rotating fresh-catch specials, fantastic burgers, and the best bar (and bar staff) in town. You'll always feel at home at Fish City Grill.
