Ted's Cafe - Great Yarmouth

We were unfortunately disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The staff was not very friendly and the bacon was greasy, while the tomato sauce tasted cheap and unpleasant. I couldn't even finish my sandwich. My husband's breakfast was also not up to par, with low quality sausages, etc. The self-serve toast machine was inconvenient and the coffee tasted like soapy water from a self-serve machine. It seems like corners are being cut with the quality of ingredients and service. We would be willing to pay more for better quality and service, as we were expecting something better than what we received. Please take this as constructive criticism. There is room for improvement.

I ordered a large breakfast for myself and cheesy beans on toast for my partner at this restaurant. Sounds simple, right? But it wasn't. My breakfast came with only one sausage cut in half, and my partner's beans were cold. When I asked for a replacement, the chef was very rude and arrogant. Even when I asked for another sausage, the rudeness continued. I became so frustrated that I requested a full refund, but was told I couldn't receive one because I had already eaten some of the meal. In reality, I had been waiting for my replacement. I left with a refund and will never return to this restaurant.

I was in Great Yarmouth on a solo trip last week and decided to try teds cafe after reading the good reviews. I was not disappointed. The breakfast was small in portion but delicious, with hot food served on a hot plate. It was also very affordable, costing under £5 with unlimited toast as a bonus. The staff were friendly and the restroom was one of the cleanest I've ever seen. The only downside was seeing the staff eating while they cooked, which may not be the best practice. Despite this, I would definitely return as the quality of the food was great, with proper Cumberland sausages instead of basic ones.

Super little cafe. Ate here every morning on my holiday. Delicious breakfast, friendly service and spotlessly clean. I'm home now and missing this place. Sooo good!!

Best fry up around for what i class as a greasyspoon (only in the nicest possible way do i use that term), quality ingredients used. Staff always friendly and very clean premises.
