Bidrage med feedbackWe were very disappointed during our visit to this restaurant. Our first visit was good, but this time it was a letdown. The burger bun was burnt and the scampi had a very chewy batter. However, the gluten-free option was great. Unfortunately, our order was not complete, but we only realized this once we returned to our caravan. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Don't let the outdated decor deter you, give this charming restaurant a try. We ordered the large fish and chips (which came with a free can of Stella), my son had the battered sausage and chips, and my daughter enjoyed the gluten free fish and chips. All of the meals were delicious.
The food was very disappointing, it did not seem fresh. The interior was bizarre and outdated. A staff member was watching Facebook videos at a table near us while we were eating. We waited a long time for our food, assuming it was because it was being cooked fresh, but then had to wait even longer because our order had been given to someone who walked in. I used to enjoy this restaurant, but now I am wondering what has happened to it. It's disappointing that a place known for their chips can't even get those right.
We always try to get to Rogers when we're over Great Yarmouth way. The reason is, this little hidden away gem of a fish and chip shop does an excellent GLUTEN FREE fish and chips, and has wine! I reckon they could advertise their gluten...free food a bit better, and they should. I took my wife's relatives there at the week end for a slap up dinner. We all had fish and chips, with a couple of mushy peas and a curry sauce, three good glasses of wine and two pepsis for less than quid. Under for a good meal with wine, sitting upstairs in the dining room, it was absolutely lovely. The staff are knowledgable, helpful and very friendly. I'm sure if Rogers advertised a bit more, especially about the gluten free, they could attract a lot more customers. Thanks Rogers'. For a coeliac like me you are a god-send.
Despite relatively new ownership (fears of new broom and all that) we had a very enjoyable supper there yesterday. Fresh, flaky fish and piping hot chips. Fresh and steaming hot cups of tea too, job done! expensive than before, but then it was super...cheap, guess it's now on par price wise with other local establishments. If you haven't been lately, well worth a return trip!
