Village Sushi - Great Neck

The food was excellent! I tried the lunch special with meat, and the spicy tuna, salmon, and yellowtail rolls were all fantastic. The salad was fresh and delicious, too. I will definitely be returning!

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a delightful lunch. They have an open terrace with a roof, providing a shaded outdoor dining experience. The menu is extensive, which can be a bit overwhelming for first-timers, but it also means there’s something for everyone. We opted for the lunch specialties, which let us sample a variety of small dishes. You absolutely must try their fried rice and sushi! The presentation of all the dishes was impressive and carefully considered. I highly recommend this place!

Highlights of the meal included the sushi and sashimi, which were exceptionally fresh, and the uni topped with tobiko was outstanding. My favorite appetizer was the vegetable tempura; it came in a generous portion perfect for sharing. Everything met my expectations and more—great job all around! The waitstaff were very attentive and responded quickly when I requested water or extra napkins. Previous Takeout Experience (2021): I had an excellent takeout dinner from here as well. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the pieces were cut perfectly. My kids particularly loved the tuna and salmon slices. We also enjoyed the vegetable tempura which featured a delightful variety of vegetables, including mushrooms, eggplant, broccoli, carrots, and sweet potatoes—absolutely delicious! Other favorites included the tri-color sushi and chirashi. This was my second order during the pandemic, and I can’t wait to dine in person again when it’s safe!
