Mrs. K's Bakery - Gravois Mills

I would give Mrs. K's Bakery 0 stars if I could. I made a booking with them 3 months ago for my best friend's bridal shower. We discussed delivery time, reference photos, and quantity of cookies. I confirmed the details again in June for the event on July 31, 2022, and Renee reassured me that everything was on schedule. I reached out a few days before the event to confirm delivery and requested photos of the final product to match my reference photos, but received no response. On the morning of the event, the bakery's website was down, my calls and emails were ignored, and no delivery had arrived. Fortunately, Hy Vee came to the rescue and saved the day. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating. If there was an issue with the business, they should have informed their customers. I'm grateful I hadn't paid for the cookies in advance. I would not recommend wasting your time with this bakery.

The chef prepared a gluten-free cake and cherry pie for our daughter-in-law, who absolutely loved it. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed the delicious desserts.

My Airbnb host recommended Mrs. K's Birthday Cake for my mother's 60th birthday, and he was right. The carrot cake was the best we have ever had! However, Mrs. K recently had some staff quit on her at short notice, and she is having trouble finding help. Despite this, she puts in her best effort to fulfill orders and does not compromise on the artistry of her cakes. I recommend calling ahead to see what she can create for you.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. My card was charged last week for an order I placed. I was sent an email to pickup my cake on Friday at 10 am. I showed up and have called 6 times, no one has been answering me all day. Now I am on my way to a birthday party with no cake.So unprofessional!

Excellent Ultimate Chicken salad sandwich on rye bread! Great prices. I like supporting my hometown businesses.
