The Clarendon Royal - Gravesend

Food was good, but fried eggs were boiled over and chips were incredibly salty. The service was the most disappointing though we booked in advance, the table was not ready for us and the staff was quite rude, especially the guy who was very short with us, greeted us with “what do you want?” in a very unfriendly mansion.

Beautiful food would recommend to everyone I enjoyed my meal

Fantastic eating terrible staff except the manager who was beautiful. I went to the bar when no one was there. I was greeted with “yes”, I said I had booked a table for two for the 50th birthday. I expected her to be shown to a table, but she just waved her arm in the air and said, sit where you want. RUDE. No one came to ask if we wanted a drink, so someone had to find it again. I asked the manager about a cocktail menu he bought me. No one came to take my order, so I called to the bar to ask a cocktail and was told I could just what was on Hahn. So I said what is the point of giving me a cocktail menu. I told her the manager gave me the menu, she went into a huff murmelting like, well I don't do it, but I can't be sure. She came back and said, Okay, you can have one that the manager made for me. What I could add was nice. The service was not better off the waitress and barmaid. I pointed out that they had an ant problem as they crawl over the windowboard. I took pictures, they said the ants were attracted to my cocktail. After all said that the food was excellent, so if you don't have the attitude of the staff it is worth going for the delicious food. It is a beautiful environment and a beautiful building.

We are ladies of this lunch and have really enjoyed our time here. So we stayed chilled for 6 hours only chatting, eating and drinking! Food excellent as the service! Thank you.
