The Waggoner's - Grasmere

Absolutely super space! the position is indisputably beautiful. it was over by ambleside and thought how great. and it lived absolutely up to the situation. only pizzen because of the pandemic and yet it was exactly what we were looking for. I would just say that if they wanted to put a margarita on the menu, maybe not blue cheese among others would be there amazing.

The restaurant is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. We will definitely be returning!

The Black is amazing! If they were open more frequently, I would definitely recommend a visit—it's a must-stop for me every time I'm in the area! The location is gorgeous, just a 5-minute walk from the center of Grasmere. The building itself is beautiful, and along with an extensive menu, they offer a fantastic selection of beers, gins, and ales. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and professional. If you are lucky enough to sit outside, you’ll be treated to an absolutely stunning view! I'm pretty sure they also have rooms available for guests.
