Bidrage med feedbackLet's start with the service. The waitstaff did the bare minimum required to attend to our table. Service was slow, and no one greeted us upon our arrival or thanked us for dining there. They didn’t take the time to ensure our food was served correctly. While our water glasses were refilled without us asking, they never offered ice—a basic courtesy that I expect. For such a popular spot, we didn't experience anything special. Overall, I wouldn’t go back largely due to the lackluster energy from the waitstaff. Now, onto the food. Be warned: if you’re not aware of their tendency toward excessive spiciness, it could ruin your meal. Their heat scale of 1 to 5 is severely misleading—it's far too generous and could lead to a serious culinary mistake. Their idea of medium is likely not what most people would consider medium. I strongly advise you to keep the spice level mild; otherwise, your meal might be inedible. We ordered drunken noodles and a sriracha fried rice dish. The drunken noodles were fine but unremarkable. The sriracha fried rice had the potential to be fantastic but was ruined by my choice of medium heat. What I received was overwhelmingly spicy and unenjoyable. The restaurant acknowledges this issue with a disclaimer on their menu—clearly, it’s a known problem. I won't be making that mistake again. Sadly, this oversight ruined what could have been a good meal, leading me to view the food as a total letdown. The ambiance was simple; although it was busy during our visit, it remained fairly quiet, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, this was overall a very disappointing experience. There are too many exceptional Thai restaurants in the DFW area that provide a superior experience. We won’t be returning.
I ordered the pad see ew, and it was honestly the best I've ever had. One thing to keep in mind when dining here: if you request your food to be spicy, they take that very seriously. A friend of mine, who enjoys his food quite spicy, ordered his dish with a level one spice—supposedly very mild—but even that proved to be more than he anticipated! His eyes and nose were running throughout the meal, but he couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was!
I absolutely adore the food! The service is decent, but it's not really a place where I'd want to dine in; we usually opt for takeout. If you're a fan of spicy food, then Thai Riverside is the spot for you, but just a heads up—be cautious. I usually order level 2 heat, but I can never tell if I'm getting a 2, 3, or even 4, which is a bit disappointing because it can leave my mouth feeling like it's on fire.
Their spicy rating is from 0 to 5 if you get food rated at a two it will burn your mouth to the point that you can't taste the food and it is not enjoyable at all. And I am a person that definitely eat jalapeños and spicy stuff every day. When it's so hot that I can't enjoy it at a level to something is wrong in spite of their disclaimer on their menu. Spent good money on wasted food I would recommend another place. They have a TV that is tuned to the negative news all day long. Depressing! The inside dining is the pits. They don't give a **** about you or your dining experience.
The best neighborhood spot for thai and asian fusion! Service is impeccable and staff so very warm and friendly! But beware of the spice meter!!! 1.5 on the 1-10 scale is NO JOKE! Best to get spice on the side...Carry out or dine in-best asian cuisine in Parks Grapevine! BY FAR!
