Bidrage med feedbackCame to Bacchus on a date night with the wife. We love the décor of the restaurant and the robust wine selection. The menu is on the shorter side, which is always a great sign that the quality of food is usually better. We had outstanding service fromJack and would come back. We tried several different wines and fell in love with the Arista Chardonnay and the Bravium Rose fromall of our selections. The Bomba was crispy and unique, although slightly under seasoned. We also tried the Pasta Special andthe Ricotta Ravioli, both were unique and outstanding.
We had date night dinner reservations here on Saturday night January 8, 2022. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We are always astonished by how seemingly complex and difficult it seems for the hostess to decode their iPad and determine whereto seat a party of two who has had a reservation for a week, but once we got past that we were seated at a nice table. First, this place is in a hotel moderately upscale multiple dining options throughout the hotel, this one being the nicest. For themenu prices, we thought it would have been a bit nicer if they created a bit more of a dining room/cozy feel, possibly closingthe curtains that are open to all hotel guests walking by whether they have yelling children or if they are dragging a redigloo cooler. There is a nice bar located centrally in the restaurant but an unfortunate placement of a light fixture impedesviewing of the televisions hanging around the bar, we thought that was odd. Still however, we had a great server named Hunter. He was prompt and courteous and all too ready to answer every question about the menu. My husband had the halibut and said itwas great and cooked very evenly throughout. The bar ran out of Woodford reserve and he was subbed another bourbon withoutupcharge. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I have to say it was the most delicious I have ever had and I would return to thisrestaurant just to order this again. This is a 8 on the 1 10 scale. Yes recommend. Please find a way to create an intimatedining experience in this restaurant and it will be a literal home run
Eating was pretty good! the atmosphere was okay. it was very loud and inconspicuous by the “live band.” I wouldn't eat here again. not worth it.
Probably wouldn’t come back. Had high expectations given the option to dine at a chefs table. Some of the food was unique and quite good. But my daughter’s filet looked and tasted like something I’d expect to get at Applebees and the desserts were disgusting. The banana bread skillet tasted like uncooked flour. The olive oil cake was drier than the Turkey at Clark Griswald’s house. They have 30 whiskey’s to choose from, but don’t ask for a list or an explanation of what they have because they really don’t know. All in all I should have done more research before going. Had I known it was just the restaurant inside a Marriott property, I would have passed. A few stand outs, but overall just over priced and there are far superior restaurant in the area at similar price points.
Nice restaurant that sits in the middle of the The Vin Hotel in Grapevine. Bar area is lively but somewhat cramped. Odd sitting arrangement that is divided in two by the bar area in the middle with Dining areas on both sides. Dining area is loud but manageable. Food was outstanding. Many compliments on steak, seafood and pasta dishes. Would probably try again but would not want to be seated close to the bar area.
