Weather Vane Ice Creme - Granite City

My best friend and I stopped by for a quick meal, and we were really impressed. The hamburgers we ordered were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the buns were incredibly soft. We also tried the cheese fries, which were served hot and had real cheese—not that nacho cheese stuff. I think that's a big win! My friend ordered some ice cream, and she said it "hit the spot." I opted for a grape slushy, which was blended just right. The two ladies working there were very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back, even though we're from St. Louis, because it's worth the trip! Thank you so much!

Overall, the food is good most of the time. However, I'm not a fan of the yellow ice cream they serve. The burgers are quite decent, and the bacon and fries are really good. The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and tacos are just average. On the plus side, the food is very reasonably priced, with regular specials available.

Their chicken bacon wrap is delicious! I also tried a turtle concrete, which was decent, but I thought it was a bit overpriced. The parking lot, unfortunately, is filled with potholes and really needs some repairs. They do have a drive-thru for placing orders, but there's no menu or speaker until you reach the window. I recommend checking out their menu online before you go so you know what you want. Otherwise, you'll find a staff member waiting at the window while you try to read the menu taped up there. The lady at the window was very friendly and didn’t rush me at all, but when someone is waiting just a few feet away from you, it can make you feel pressured to decide quickly. I might be a bit quirky and anxious, so others might not feel the same way. While I was waiting in the parking lot for my chicken wrap, I noticed that she was wearing gloves, which was a nice touch. Overall, I would definitely come back.

My kids love their cotton flavor burst ice cream. I love their caramel sundae I really love their gooey butter cake concrete.

Great ice cream. Met there with a group of friends and service was good even though it was a large order. Picnic table was not available since there had been some recent work to the parking lot.
