Cleaver - Grandview Heights

It was excellent. The waitress was great. There were 9 of us after graduation.

I visited for the first time last night during Happy Hour! The staff was incredible and attentive, and the food was delicious and very affordable for Happy Hour. The patio was charming, and the interior was warm and welcoming. We've lived in Grandview for years, and I can't believe it took us so long to check this place out! We will definitely return! The only photo I managed to take was of the Happy Hour smash burger; everything was so good that I ate it way too quickly!

We were seated at an outdoor table on a beautiful evening and began our night with some Smoked Old Fashioneds. Although I don't often eat meat, we chose this restaurant specifically for its grass-fed, free-range beef. The menu is somewhat limited, but our selections were excellent. We enjoyed glazed Brussels sprouts, salads, and two fantastic sandwiches. The burger was incredible, topped with thick bacon, and the Cubano shredded pork sandwich was delicious. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return!

My partner chose the Butcher Burger. He asked for it to be cooked medium well, but it came out medium instead. Still, he was not disappointed. The burger was fresh and juicy, and the thick-cut bacon made him emit some serious “yummy” sounds. He would have liked to request a remade burger, but the service was lacking. Unfortunately, the service is what led to this only being a three-star review. We received water fairly quickly, but that was about it. It took a while before we could place our orders, which made us rethink our choice to get drinks and appetizers. Once our food arrived, we didn’t see our server again until they came by to clear the table and ask if we wanted dessert or the check. By this point, we finally got our drink refills. In summary, the food deserves five stars for its deliciousness, but the service definitely dampened the overall experience.

Every aspect of our meal was exceptional. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
