Flunch Dunkerque - Grande-Synthe

We always enjoy going here when over on a day trip. Our ferry gets us in half way through the lunch hour so when we get to the cafe it is always fairly quiet. We generally have something light with a beer or small bottle of wine and there is a good choice all at reasonable prices. The cafe is light and airy with all french staff which gives it a pleasant feeling of being abroad.

Fairly priced and not bad for a supermarket cafe. Good selection and plenty of seating. But in summary, just mediocre.

We ordered two of the f menus. Lovely salads to start. My wife had a nice white wine and I had a bottle of S. Pellegrino water. My main was colin d'Alaska quite pleasant. My wife had parmentier de canard a tasteless shepherd's pie made with minced duck. She didn't like the texture and couldn't finish it. The vegetables were all you can eat buffet style and were overcooked and underseasoned. But the two meals came to a total of only €19.90. The staff were excellent. We had the menu system explained to us in good English before we started. The ice cream desserts look fabulous so we'll try those next time we visit.

Rien a dire plat chaud, les moules était excellente, les légumes bien assaisonner et chaud, restaurant propre. Le personnel agréable et a l écoute.

Qualité/prix 10 sur 10, differentes choix légumes 10 sur 10, rapidité 10 sur 10, propréte 10 sur 10. Nous reviendront avec nos familles.
