Ali Baba's - Grand Sudbury

Absolutely fantastic. The owner served us and he was excellent. Treated us to a buffet of lamb and seafood that was to die for. Mila was a wonderful server who went out of her way to please us. We had a combination of marsala, shrimp, lamb, and scallops with brushetta and greek salad and vegetables.

Excellent establishment, Ali is the best. No one beats his Chicken Marsala, it's our goto meal every time we go there. Excellent Greek salad, bruschetta, shawarma and his deep-fried banana dessert is to die for! Never leave there hungry. Great takeout options as well. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building with ease (sidewalk) to walk to the front entrance.

Ordered dinner for three tonight even though we were four. Portions are huge and we still had leftovers. Food was great and the owner/chef made sure everything was good for us. I recommend them.

We ordered take out because of the carona virus situation. The food was delicious as usual and the portions a good size. He is always friendly. We wish to support small restaurants that are not a chain. This is the place to go. Vegetables are fresh and the food is good. A large take out menu considering the situation. We will be back.

We have dined at this restaurant many times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and service. However, this time we were a bit disappointed. Our order was taken after those who arrived after us, the service was slow, and we were overcharged. Although we requested a recalculation and received some money back, it was still not the correct amount. We attribute this to the restaurant being understaffed, as there was only one greeter/server and they had a Help Wanted sign in the window. The use of an old-fashioned cash register that does not provide an itemized bill also contributed to the issue. While we will return because we like the food and the staff, we will definitely be more vigilant about checking our bill next time.
