Vito's Pizza - Grand Rapids

I really enjoy their subs, and the pizza and slices are pretty good too. The only thing I’d like to see improved is the consistency of the subs. The toppings vary quite a bit from visit to visit, so one time it can be fantastic, and the next it’s just okay. The staff are generally friendly, especially for a late-night spot.

I came in and placed my order, but I ended up waiting an hour and a half before I had to ask, "Where on earth is my food?" The staff seemed more interested in playing around than doing their jobs. I only ordered three subs, which should have taken a maximum of 30 minutes to prepare. After a 12-hour shift, waiting that long was frustrating, especially since it felt like the employees treated the place like a playground instead of a restaurant. Meanwhile, a whole group came in, ordered, and finished their meals while I continued to wait. The food was delicious—definitely a 10/10—but the service left me quite dissatisfied.

The prices are fair, but the food is just passable, and the service leaves much to be desired. The pizza crust is flat and undercooked, featuring canned pineapple and mushrooms, and the sauce is overly sweet. The wings were soggy and overwhelmed with sauce. It seems the front-of-house staff is inadequately trained and faces verbal mistreatment from the kitchen crew. My order was incomplete, leaving most of my meal cold as I waited for the forgotten pizza to be finished. With numerous superior pizza options available on the west side, I won’t be returning.

I placed the order at 12 PM they said it would be 20 minutes I came at 12:24 they said it would be a few more minutes at 12:45 I asked about my order (a pizza sub) it took her another few minutes to go check on it and I finally got it and it?s soggy andterrible to eat. Honestly Vitos used to be my favorite growing up, but now Gino?s is where to go- better food, better serviceand overall better quality

Quick friendly service- cheap pizza by the slice! Pizza was okay- sauce is sweet which I like, however in my first bite I got a bunch of paper from whatever it was sliced on that I didn?t notice until it was too late. ???? Nice and chewy crust withbalanced flavors throughout- wish it was a bit fresher though! Super zoomed in picture because I forgot to take a picture of itand it was almost gone lol oops
