Jersey Mike's Subs - Grand Rapids

People often expect overly cheerful and friendly customer service, but not everyone is wired that way. Sometimes, a person might simply be having a tough day. It costs nothing to be kind and to give others the benefit of the doubt. Let's remember that we are all human; many of us may have disabilities that lead us to view the world differently, and we all experience bad days (I know I wouldn't want to be in a customer-facing role on my tough days!). I personally apologized to the manager for the behavior of that customer. With just a little compassion, I learned that she is a genuinely kind and generous person who appreciated my attempt to understand rather than judge her. As for accessibility, the restaurant is fully accessible and roomy enough for wheelchair users, though I can't speak to the accessibility of the bathroom since I've never been in there.

I usually enjoy Jersey Mike's, but the manager at this location was difficult to deal with. She was rude and came across as very condescending. I’ll return, but if I see her behind the counter again, I might just turn around and leave. Food: 4, Service: 2, Atmosphere: 1.

Why bother asking what you want on the sub when they only listen 30% of the time? Constantly an issue here. Also, if you don't tip (pay before you even get your food) then you'll begetting attitude from the children working there.. Please do better. We drive out of our way (to avoid the 28th street location) to come to the beltline location. The staff is friendly welcoming. The store is clean the food is always yummy! Also, please sell the oil/vin in bottles so we can buy!! :D Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
