Golden Gate - Grand Rapids

Second, the buffet was unlike any typical Chinese buffet; everything was flavorful and delicious, featuring a great variety of dishes, including Snow Crab! Third, this is the first Chinese restaurant we've found in Grand Rapids that offers Almond Boneless Chicken, which was fantastic with its slightly crispy coating and excellent sauce. Lastly, they make the best egg rolls I've ever had! We will definitely make the trip from Sand Lake many times for some of the best Chinese food in Grand Rapids. Highly recommended!

This always remains our favorite place! It's a small hotel with friendly staff and an old-world charm, conveniently located within walking distance of many restaurants and key city venues. The rooms at the back and side are surprisingly quiet, despite being in the city center. The parking lot above the street is incredibly helpful. I absolutely love this hotel—the quirky bird train, the delightful paintings on the walls, Pip the cat, the delicious croissants, the bathtubs, the fantastic location, and the wonderful service. Everything about it feels comforting and provides a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
