Divani - Grand Rapids

We had our elopement reception at Bar Divani a few weeks ago, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The communication leading up to the event was prompt and greatly appreciated. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the service was excellent. The ambiance of the space was also lovely. I highly recommend hosting an event here or simply stopping in for dinner. Ordered the burger. Made it very clear to be cooked mid-well. Came to the table well done. Wife sent her salmon back as it was over cooked also. The mixologist behind the bar was the best! Very good drinks. I would go back just for the drinks.

Bar Divani was a quaint restaurant with an old school lounge ambiance. There are dark colors and low lighting. The food overall was quite good, although I don?t know what the heck happened to the bread, it was genuinely the worst bread I have ever had. Notaste, no browning, very soft, very cold, it was like wet flour. They served it with a roasted red pepper butter which had greatcolor but again practically no taste. It was all calories for no payoff. Anyways, the rest of the food was good! Steak wascooked well and the red wine sauce was yum. A quick note that they only have one stall bathroom for each gender, so there wasquite a line at times which was annoying. It was nice but also pricey and I don?t know if I would return.

We had a fantastic experience at Divani's. The food and service were excellent. After dining at many restaurants in Grand Rapids, this one topped our list. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Our group of 12 all enjoyed their meals. The duck three ways, BBQ ribs, and bistro fillet were outstanding. As for appetizers, our favorites were the pierogis, crab cake, guacamole, salsa, and the cheese tray.

Our friends have been talking non-stop about this restaurant for some time now. We decided to drop by late one evening for some drinks. The two bartenders were incredibly friendly. Marcus, the bartender (if I remember correctly), was exceptional at his craft. He created several unique drinks for us, using his own recipes and twist, and they were absolutely amazing! I can't wait to return. I've been recommending this place and its talented bartender to everyone I know. Next time, I'll have to try the food too.
