Wienerschnitzel - Grand Prairie

We made a pit stop on our way out of town today at our favorite restaurant, which we don't visit often. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, the restaurant was dirty. The trash cans were overflowing, and we even spotted a dead roach on the floor.

I only had about 35 minutes to eat before returning to a conference. I ordered the junkyard combo, which included a chili dog topped with fries and a Polish sausage sandwich. The service was quick and efficient, and the food was delicious and served hot.

It was quite unexpected when my husband mentioned his craving for Wienerschnitzel as we left our hometown. After a 2.5-hour drive, we stumbled upon a 'blast from the past' along the highway - the chili cheese dogs were just what we were looking for.

Just like I remembered from my childhood. A guilty pleasure for me. You like McDonald's fries? These are skinny too but really yummy and always fresh. It's so great to see a chain doing it right.

Very small dining area, but convenient to the I-20 highway. Had the Kraut dog and fries special. The food took a little while, but I believe it was cooked to order. Polite counter staff. Tables and floors clean. Mostly hot dog menu.
