W W Peppers - Grand Junction

We were looking for a good steak house, reviews were mixed. At first look, steak offering small along with half the menu contains Mexican food. After our order and dinning, would give a Thums Up . Same amount of sticker shock at first glance, however portions make up the difference. 10 ounce Steak is a FULL meal.

I have had good service, good food, and an overall good experience at W.W. Peppers. There are many items to chose from, including steaks, and southwest style food.

I have been to this restaurant before several times. It's a bit on the pricier side but was good. This last time we went, my friend had the fillet Mignon medium rare and I had the crab and shrimp burrito. We ordered a guacamole dip which is market price and surprise! turned out to be $7.50 for a small bowl. When our food came on super hot plates which suggests it was sitting under the heat lamp my friend cut into the steak and it was well done. She cut another piece off and this one was almost medium. Nowhere near medium rare. We called another woman over who turned out to be the manager. We showed them the steak and said for 30 bucks this is not a medium rare steak. The manager asked her to cut into the middle of the steak. We asked why it couldn't for the most part be medium rare>? She stated that it was a thick fillet. I have never ever seen thinner After cutting in the middle and seeing it was more medium to medium done, the manager offered to remake the steak. We thanked her and she left. Then she came back to the table a few seconds later to tell us that in the kitchen the lighting was better and it did appear to be medium rare in there. Can you believe this? My friend said never mind then, she'll eat the steak but we are never coming again I never even got to mention that the rice in my burrito was not cooked. crunchy . From then on NOONE came by the table again, not even the waitress. We had to flag down someone else to refill the drinks and give us the check. They took the steak off but offered no apologies. Nothing! I think the manager and the waitress were both very rude. Their attitude was inexcusable. I waited tables for 12 years and would never treat my customers that way! What happened to the customer always being right or just plain customer service?
