Bidrage med feedbackAbsolutely perfect. Jeff and his team are incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was, as always, spot on. The environment is clean and inviting. I recommend this place all the time.
From the beaten path we loved, and though challenging to find, it is worth it. (Tip: Do you follow the sign for the Salmonid (sp?) interpreter center with a one-way wooden bridge and you? ll make it hands down a Primo gem not to miss with charming decor, friendly staff, a deck overlooking a spectacular waterfall, with the most delicious, creative food. My husband and I stayed on my way to Newfoundland. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich and my husband had a veggie omelett he loved. On our way home we had no choice but to give back bc we loved it so much where I had a grilled cheese panini with apple slices and crispy bacon that was above the top. My husband ordered a red pepper soup, which was like no other (real and had also a vegan rice bowl beautifully presented and delicious. Don't miss it!
Were all these reviews written by their friends? I wonder where the world-famous friendly Newfoundland people are. When we went to the café, there was no greeting or smile, in fact they ignored us on the "Wait Sit ' sign for several minutes and then came almost congruent and asked how many, still no smile or hello. The service was quite fast, but the surly attitude of our server was not to put. The grilled cheese sandwich must have missed the spin on the Pannini press as it was browned, but the cheese was not melted and hardly warm inside. We didn't complain about setting the server. I was surprised by the small size of the chicken burger in the Brioche bee, and not sure if the shredded chicken was from a can. The view was beautiful, and a short walk down the hill to the dam was interesting, but in any case would recommend this place. Not sure why it seems so popular.
We decided to give this café another try, and we were pleasantly surprised by the significant improvement since our last visit. The beverage menu was prominently displayed, offering a wide selection. The staff was professional and efficient, even with a busy influx of customers for both dine-in and take-out. Our meals were delicious, and the portions were satisfying—not a disappointment at all. We are definitely looking forward to returning for more meals and drinks. Kudos to 3rd Place Café! --- **Original Post - One Month Ago** I was very disappointed with the service during our visit to the new location this morning. We had a light breakfast and a hot drink, but it didn't go smoothly. The sign instructed us to wait for seating, and we waited for five minutes before choosing a table. Unfortunately, no drink menu was provided, so when the server asked us what we wanted to drink, we had no idea what to order. The server’s response was unhelpful; they simply said they'd see if they had what we wanted. When we inquired about fresh baked goods, we were informed that only a lonely cupcake and a date square were available. There were no breakfast items like fresh bagels, protein balls, or muffins. Lacking a drink menu, we ended up ordering just coffee and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was disappointing—just warm milk mixed with a generic ice cream syrup, sitting at the bottom of the cup.
Quick and friendly service. Beautiful view from the patio. Food was good (3.5/5)
