Bidrage med feedbackI tried out the cheese pena as they call it, its not a pizza but more looks like a calzone, it was nice sauce lots of chesse and came out hot. I also had a porchetta sandwich to go which was very tasty as well.
Disappointed a bit... First i asked for some starters, i choose something and ask for some additional fried meat. I got the wurst with potato's the wurst was just wurst and also potato's was terrible. After finishing starters they just pick the used knife and fork from startes plates and put it directly to the table sheet! Panuozzo was just ok, nothing extra for me. Quattro formagia also nothing extra, it felt like only 1 cheese. My pizza baked in home taste better for me. The group of 6 waitress spoke together for almost whole time and didn't see we already finished our drinks and food.
We started with some mixed antipasti. The grilled provola is simply delicious, but the stuffed zucchini flowers were coated with breadcrums rather than the more traditional beer and flour batter (they were tasty anyways, just a little unexpected). The Panuozzo is very good and there's a lot of choice of fillings. The restaurant is quite large and it was very crowded even on a Monday night. The waiters did their best to serve us promptly despite the large number of costumers. Overall, we were very satisfied.
Great place to come if your in the area. Has a real sense of a typical night out for the local Italians and we got to sit down as the manager squeezed us in! Loved the huge CocaCola bottles.
Great place, great food, great service. Staff will try to fulfill every special wish you have. Unfortunately ham with melon wasn't available when we were there ... There's only one downside as far as we are concerned, they are closed on Wednesdays...
