Went for drinks/dinner. Sat at bar because no hostess in sight for 5 minutes to seat us. Bar was so loud with a few drunks so asked to sit in dining room and was told ok. Should have known when only a few tables were taken. We sat for 20 minutes and no wait staff ever came to take our order. Spoke with manager to complain and then a waitress followed us out telling us that we don’t get served unless we are seated by a hostess!! They clearly saw us there and with only a few tables taken chose not to wait on us. Rudest people and worst I’ve ever been treated at a restaurant ever!!! Went to Post Office Pub down street, always friendly and great food!!
This is a beautiful place to gather for lunch. Enchanting pastural landscape. The food was very good. I would certainly go back. I had a delicious and generously sized Tennessee chicken salad. Wonderful. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We ended up placing our food order 35 minutes after sitting down, choosing a Reuben, chicken tenders, a steak and cheese sub, and a chicken Caesar salad wrap. As soon as the food arrived, I sensed we were in trouble. The corned beef on the Reuben was nearly all fat, and my friend’s chicken tenders were so overcooked and dry that she needed a steak knife to cut them. The steak and cheese sub was dripping with grease, necessitating a napkin to soak it up. After just one bite of my sandwich and a taste of the chicken tender, we decided to summon the indifferent bartender. We explained our issues with the Reuben and chicken fingers and stated that we didn’t want anything else. We asked her to take both dishes back to the kitchen. However, she didn’t even bother to offer us another drink and simply brought the bill to my husband. He paid it politely, but when I asked to see it while she ran his card, I noticed that neither of the meals was removed from the bill. I asked her if she intended to take the food off the bill, and she bluntly said no. Not wanting to escalate things further, we chose to leave without causing a scene.
The golf course restaurant offers a fantastic selection of dishes, excellent drinks, and reasonable prices, all while boasting a lovely patio view. I highly recommend the fried pickles, onion strings, burger, salad (the white balsamic dressing is fantastic!), and chicken sandwich—all are delicious. However, I’ve had a recurring issue with the steak tips. I’ve ordered them twice and each time they haven’t come out at the temperature I requested. I mean, does this look medium rare? It’s well done! That’s a significant and disappointing difference. Had they been cooked properly, they would have been quite tasty. Unfortunately, since this was takeout, I couldn’t subtly display them on my plate to show just how overcooked they were. I’ll give them one more try, but I might end up gifting them a meat thermometer for Secret Santa!
