Great food and a great location. Must be experienced first hand. If you find yourself in Sweden, make sure to find time to visit this little gem.

You must come on boat to this place. Food is good, basic well cooked and not pretentious. Service is nice, sometimes a bit slow. Wonderful surroundings and a great trip to get here from wherever you start your trip. Highly recommended actually on of the better places in the archipelago – trust me I have tried most – but pricy. A dinner can easily cost 6-800 SEK per person.

We had such high expectations of this place, that just didn’t live up and actually, left us speechless. We sailed to Fejan specifically because we’ve heard good things about the restaurant. We were a larger group of 12 people, and had decided to have a quick, light lunch as we wanted to have dinner there as well given the reputation. It didn’t get off to a fantastic start. It took a while to order, then a while to get our drinks (20 mins there abouts) which came in drips and drabs, first the beer, then wine and then the kids soft drinks. Two hungry 10 year olds don’t have that much patience at the best of times and today wasn’t one of those either. Half an hour later we tried to order in more drinks but no waiter around, eventually we found someone and they told us they’d be back in a second, and didn’t return. After an hour sitting there waiting for food (with empty glasses), one of our party went and looked for a waiter to ask if a) we could order more drinks and b) how long the food would be. Finally we got our food, but missing two dishes. After mentioning this to the waitress who delivered our food it turned out they had missed to send out order into the kitchen. She was very sincere and apologetic about it. The missing food came out relatively quickly so that wasn’t a big deal. The food was good, the meatballs and burger were a hit with the group, the toast skagen had lovely shrimps but lacked a little taste otherwise. Another ordered the steak tartar which was nice enough but also lacked a little taste. In general, it was nice but nothing outstanding. Also by this time we were also so hungry we just wanted any food. Then came time to pay, and again we had to chase someone to get the bill. Finally we got the bill and we took up our experience with the waiter who we assumed was the maitre d’. We also said we were thinking of eating dinner here but the service had been poor during lunch. Instead of apologising, offering any compensation, or generally taking the critique in a polite manner, we were recommended by that it would be better if we ate dinner on our boats instead. We were quite conservative with our critique and tried our best to frame it in a positive manner so we were entirely taken aback at the response. Needless to say, we will not be going back and we will not be recommending the place to friends either. I hope they realise what a mistake they have made and learn from it otherwise they won’t be successful in the long run. In general, the food I’d give a 3/5, location 5/5 but service 0/5.

Such a fun place to hang out. unfortunately we could not get dinner because they were completely booked when we arrived, but we got drinks and snacks and hung out on the deck outside! It was beautiful everything was delicious.

My husband and i with two small children were looking forward to a tranquil weekend in the Stockholm archipelago. But once dinner was over the place turned into a night club-Disco. The Youth hostel is located only 10 meters from the burned down resturant where there was now a portable tent. This is where there was some kind of reggea night theme disco which carried on until 04.00 am. We had no sleep that night because once the club closed the party carried on outside. There are only very limited things to do on the island, and limited access to the waterfront. Their is a beach on the south end but this is very hard to find. Surprised that the island was full of run down farm equipment and other garbage strewn all over. All in all not worth the visit and we left earlier than planned so we could get some sleep.
