Bidrage med feedbackWhat an incredible spot. Sitting under the trees next to the pool was just spectacular. We ate the “one of everything” got to enjoy a small plate of each dish. Afterwards we had a taste of Oak Valley wines and the Pinot Noir was fresh fruity
Such an awesome gem. Great food in a relaxed setting. The One of Everything is the best idea to experience the flavors and atmosphere! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R 300–350 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had an incredible lunch at The Melting Pot. I would highly recommend taking the ‘One of Everything’ to share between two people. The food was delicious and we tasted a burst of flavour with every bite. The service was excellent too. Without a doubt, we will back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Came to this spot with high hopes of an amazing meal and unfortunately was let down by the poor management and care which is disappointing because the food and location are both incredible. We were here for lunch and excited to try all the wonderful things on the menu. Having checked the website and menu before hand, we arrived expectantly to try lots. What started out as not having any apple juice (on an apple farm) to then not having any juice at all. We tried ordering tonics to which we were told they didn 't have of those either. When we moved onto food we saw that a whole section of the menu we had seen on the website was no longer on the menu. The 'Big plates ' section. When we asked why that was, we were told that they had lost almost all their chefs and had a reduced menu. That is okay, life happens and is complex, but when you are paying for an expensive lunch, one would expect a phone call as well as info upon arrival that because of circumstances in the kitchen, their menu is reduced. Updating their official website would 've also been smart. We then placed an order for a whole bunch of small plates form the now extremely small menu because of all the missing items including a cheese board to which , low and behold, that didn 't have stock of. They had no cheese in the kitchen or on the premises. Starting to consider walking out, we went to go speak to the manager but situation and while she claimed to have heard us and understood, she offered no form of apology and seemed to be unphased/uninterested (take your pick) in realizing the importance of letting your customers know prior and upon arrival of the completely different menu and dining experience they might have. We ended up staying considering we had driven such a far way from Cape Town. The food we did get was amazing, it tasted amazing and we enjoyed it all. One could tell that the manager made a concerted effort for the rest of the day to not check on us likely assuming a heated discussion. Other tables around us were checked without issue. We heard other tables express their disappointed in the reduced menu as well, so we were not alone. It really is a pity that such a stunning location and quality of food was and is spoilt by completely avoidable poor service and management at the restaurant. I would recommend this place but make sure to call up ahead to enquire about availability of the food and their current menu because their info online is clearly not up to date and the management is not interested in sharing any of that info with you.
Very relaxing luncheon. We had an outside table under a lovely shade tree. The food was so interesting, delicious and ofcourse beautifully presented and served. A great experience for all on our table. Thank you Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R 350–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
