Tomi Japanese - Governors Bay

Tonight was my best ever experience at Tomi. Went with my sister (cause we love the place) and we both agreed it was the best food we've ever had there. The sashimi was out of this world, had mackerel trumpeter which was a first. Also the carpaccio blew my mind. I tried testing google translate when we paid to say a compliment including some expletives but turned out it was quite sexual. Be warned! And as always: service was fast, friendly and the food is excellent.

Delicious, fresh and a wonderful experience overall. Would highly recommend their carpaccio. Staff were lovely and attentive, can't wait to go back!

Lunch was good. We ordered the lunch set came with rice, miso soup, salad and pickles. Really enjoyed the food except the pickles. Went back for lunch. We tried donburi rice bowl and octopus balls. They were delicious.

Great restaurant with delicious Japanese food, owned by Japanese people. We had a wonderful experience. They allowed us to place our order in advance and provided a high chair for our baby. There is parking available outside the restaurant. Everything was satisfactory overall. However, the waiter who served us, with piercings and a ponytail with an undercut, could benefit from some proper restaurant training.

The staff here is very friendly but respects your space, making sure you feel comfortable without being intrusive. If you find yourselves on the same side of the booth, who knows what might happen! There's also plenty of parking, as the area isn't overly crowded, and many routes available if you need a quick exit. And let's not forget the food—it's quite good, adding to the overall appeal of this charming spot.
