On The Beach - Governors Bay

Terrific location where the nearby parking is free... matched by terrific views of the beach. Upon entry we were welcomed by friendly staff. The decor is soothing and in harmony with its location and the seating and furniture is comfortable and sturdy. Drinks were ordered when we were seated and they duly arrived soon after. Very nice coffee. Full flavour and velvet smooth texture. The menu is contemporary and very interesting with a range of small plate and sharing options to larger options. We dined at brunch time and as such my wife order eggs benedict and I ordered the warmed cheese dip with crispy pita breads. The food was presented nicely and very flavoursome. The eggs were cooked to perfection and my cheese dip dish was delightful (as a lover of anything cheese related). Would certainly return for the location, the great food, the excellent service and the overall pleasant enjoyable experience.

Fabulous breakfast! We had just arrived off a long overseas flight and fancied breakfast on the beach front. We came across Beach Sumner and couldn’t believe our luck. We sat enjoying the stunning view while eating a truly delicious breakfast. Thank you :

The new owner has done a wonderful job of the newly decorated BEACH. But even better was my meal. I will be returning again and again for the wonderful atmosphere and food.
