Rudy's On The Run Pizza And More

I have eaten pizza here before and enjoyed it. However today my wife and I drove here particularly for a pizza just to find out pizza isn’t even cooked until 4pm or later.. funny the sign out front literally states RUDY’S PIZZA AND MORE! There were no fountain drinks. The cheese enchilada had no cheese only a tan gravy over it. Hubby ordered onion rings got okra. Not much taste to the food. Best part of the meal was all the workers kids laughing and playing. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

It is rare that I leave a 1 star review for a restaurant, especially when it is a local place as I try to support them when I can. With that disclaimer out of the way I can confidently say this was some of the worst food I have eaten. There were two choice for local food where I was at and this Pizza joint had a 4.3 star rating. How wrong could it go? A pizza shop that sells Mexican, Italian, American and Seafood should have been a warning. Not sure what I was going to get and hedging my bets I ordered some grilled catfish with fries and onion rings as well as a Mexican plate with enchiladas, taco and chalupa. I asked for a soft taco and they gave me a hard one. The chalupa was a small tostada (you would think in TX they would know the difference) and the enchiladas looked like dog food (and tasted like it). I tried to stomach the enchiladas but gave up. I ate the taco with gritted teeth and left the tostada. There were about 10 French fries that were almost soggy and the onion rings were stale tasting. After a very disappointing start with the Mexican food I moved to the grilled catfish. I took a bite and it was decent. However by the third bite I noticed a distinctive pink hue to the meat. Yep, not cooked all the way through. So I put it aside and went to bed hungry. The facility is a shambles. Dirty, lacking maintenance of any kind and the customer service was almost worthy of a no-mention. DO NOT EAT HERE! Get a hot dog at the gas station if you have to eat and there are no other options.
