Legendz Diner - Golden

We thought we would try this little restaurant when passing through Golden for something different. It looks very cute when you walk in with the 50's style. When you start looking around, the place is FILTHY!!! a little daily cleaning may be done but that would be about it. The service was mediocre at best. I am a burger fanatic but only if they are home made. I asked the waitress specifically 3x to ensure the burgers were in fact home made, in house to which she told me yes. In fact the burgers came out, both flower shaped and obviously commercially prepared and bought frozen. Disgusting, she didn't return till we were done, I barely even ate half, and when asked all she responded with was "Im sorry" and fully charged us for both burgers. Sorry but this is NOT a place I will ever return to.

We had a terrible $80+ experience here. The waitress was rude to our son. Our daughters meal was missed completely and we had to order it a second time. Her meal arrived after everyone else had already eaten. There was no apology for missing her meal and the management refused to give any sort of discount for the error. The manager argued with the waitress about giving a discount said that she could pay for my daughter's meal if she wanted to discount it. The food was mediocre at best with reheated burger patties and deep fried frozen fries and nuggets. I highly recommend that if you go through Golden that you choose somewhere else to eat. .

Stopped in 2 mornings for breakfast, typical diner fare. Great atmosphere and nice decor. The food was good, and the prices were not too bad for the meals you get. Service was great, food was served fast.

Stopped here twice for breakfast: The first time, the cook must have had a bad day (eggs had been cooked too long, pancakes too dark, sausages not cooked enough). Went to Big Bend Cafe the next morning - do not go there!So returned here for the third morning, and the breakfast had improved a lot.Although it is still not the best breakfast, it is reasonable and OK. They open early (7am), and are located right on Highway 1.

Stopped here for breakfast with my 19 year old son before our rafting trip. Fast service, good portions and great food.
