Bidrage med feedbackI recently dined at this restaurant that has a new chef, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and excellent service. Although the menu isn't extensive, it offers a variety of options that are perfect after a day of skiing.
The Winston used to have a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, great service, and regular live entertainment. It was a popular spot for friends to gather after a day of skiing, enjoying drinks and snacks, playing games, singing along with the band, and even dancing. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. The menu is limited and poorly prepared, the staff seems short-handed, the ambiance is lacking, and worst of all, there is a general sense of apathy among the employees. Despite being loyal customers for 17 years, even during Covid closures, we feel that the owners no longer value customer or staff loyalty, prioritizing profit from a captive audience. We were disappointed by our recent experience, with subpar chicken fingers and undercooked wings not meeting the standards expected in a high-end ski resort. We have decided not to return and would recommend taking a taxi to downtown instead.
I was one of the first to review Winston's after it reopened with new management and staff. Unfortunately, I have to say that after trying it on two separate occasions, it was terrible. The menu was minimal and only a few pre-made items were actually available, and they were not... stylish, hot, or fresh. This place used to have a fun atmosphere and decent food, but not anymore. I would suggest skipping it.
After many reviews, was not sure if we wanted to. We were there at 5:30 a.m. and were already very crooked. People came and came. Jam packed. I had the bbq chicken pizza. Good. Hubby had Burgerfries and Gravy. It was good... Caesar salad good. Beer was great. Good wine selection, but very pricy. $12 for 6 ounces. Menu okay, but prices high. waitress excellent, great service, very friendly. Cosy atmosphere. It was loud, but so many people. Most obeyed the rules and wore masks, but disappointed you don't need a vaccine to eat here. No one had to show evidence. Very satisfied and will come back.
Gouging customers $24 for a store-bought flavorless burger patty with some processed cheese isn't a way to keep people coming back. Save your money, go to the grocery store and use your own bbq to cook dinner.
