Bidrage med feedbackI chose to take my daughter out for lunch to have some one-on-one time together.
During my visit to Adelaide one Christmas, I made a point to explore new pubs in the area. This particular one was on my list of places to check out.
A few occasions recently. I must say, I have been pleasantly surprised each time. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service has always been top-notch. The menu offers a good selection of dishes, and everything I have tried so far has been delicious. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I think the quality of the food justifies it. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving The Village Tavern a try if you find yourself in the Golden Grove area.
Poor quality food & limited choice of wine. The garlic bread I had still had the plastic on it obviously frozen from supermarket! The chicken schnitzel was dry & there was a strong smell of oil permeating through the hotel from the fryers! Very little choice in wines which was surprising as Dan Murphy's is right next door!
My wife and I chose The Village Tavern as it has an inside Playroom for children. We arrived at opening time for the restaurant at 11.30am on the Sunday. Yes, the Playroom was OK, but other than that I was only SO SO impressed. The service was terrible. Mix up re our table, only table no plates, menu's or salt and pepper. The food was again only so so. Definitely could cook better myself. Took forever to pay as they kept making mistakes. No, will not go back again.
