Bidrage med feedbackYesterday was our 55th Wedding Anniversary. I noted it on our Open Table reservation and the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything when we arrived. No one mentioned our anniversary again or congratulated us or thanked us for celebrating it at The Chart House.
Asked the price of oysters and server went to the kitchen and returned saying $48 a dozen. She was not familiar about getting a bakers dozen if you order a dozen per their website. A few minutes later she came back and said the kitchen told her they were out of oysters. WHAT?? They just told her the price Coconut shrimp are absolutely awesome The calamari is almost a bait and switch. The dish comes with a large base of cellophane noodles and on top of that are a bunch of fried vegetables Then there's a few calamari rings. We are very familiar with the average serving of calamari in our area and cost. Based on cost and quantity we feel you get about 50% at the chart house versus other restaurants in the area We had a $22 credit on a gift card and when we tried to use it they told us that the balance was zero. There system was down and were told we could check our account at some later date All in all a very frustrating evening
We have been to this CH several times. This occasion was my Spouse's birthday. The restaurant was not very busy, but there were only 2 wait staff. Because of this, our waiter was unable to attend to us in anything near to quick. Part of that problem was that our table was on one side of the room and all of his other tables were om the opposite side. How that happened, I have no idea, as the other waiter had all of the other other tables on our side. Of course, while he was busy on the other side of the room, it was difficult to get his attention. We understood this, and were patient. However, he should not have been put into this position. I know it is difficult to find employees nowadays, but a third wait person would have alleviated this problem. Please know, he did an excellent job.
We celebrated my parents' 40th Anniversary at Chart House and it was wonderful! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. This is definitely a great restaurant for a special occasion or just a delicious meal.
Chris was a great server. The ambiance was a little loud, but not too bad. I had the Sea Bass, which was hot and flakey, but maybe just a little too soaked in butter. My wife had the shrimp which was very good. We had the crunchy coconut shrimp appetizer which was awesome. Chart House has always been a little spendy, which is why we only go there on special occasions.
