Bidrage med feedbackI found this restaurant through the reviews on TripAdvisor and I must say we weren't disappointed. It was absolutely amazing. Me and my 10 year old son were in heaven. It's a very small hole in the wall restaurant and u sit on beer crates, with a cushion on it of course, but that just adds to the quaintness of the place. There was one female waitress who was an absolute delight and managed to run the place with ease. The food was very tasty and all freshly made. Loved it.
What a wonderful find for an authentic Japanese Yakitori meal! Best to book as its a small restaurant - around 24 seats. We finally got in on our last meal in Surfers. We tried turning up twice and arrived around 6-7pm and the place was full. Food was delicious. Dishes are equivalent to a tapas meal with shared plates such as gyoza, chicken/beef skewers, eggplant meat dish, mushroom w cheese and meat. We had fried noodles and chicken Japanese porridge as well. With one chef, it was amazingly quick to arrive. Definitely a place to frequent at Surfers.
Had the grilled salmon set for $12 - best value. I have decided I will travel all the way to surfers from brisbane to get this lunch again.
Great food, awesome service, affordable prices. Super happy with everything and will be back again and again.
Having spent many months in Japan in my twenties, mainly Tokyo, this place is amazingly authentic! All of the real chicken Yakatori selections, which unless you are familiar, may not be everyone's cup of tea. I look forward to exploring the wider menu next time but the yakitori skewers and Sapporo were superb! I'd like to find a place of this authenticity in Sydney and look forward to returning there next time I'm on the G.C. Arigato!
